Whispering Creek Golf Club was established in 1967, then called
Havenhurst. The 18-hole, par 72 course, which was originally designed by
golf architect Robert Beard, is located on roughly 140 acres running
along the Maumee River.
After four local investors purchased the golf course, formerly known as
Maumee Valley, they decided that necessary updates have to be made. New
personnel will be hired, and GPS-equipped golf carts and maintenance
equipment will be purchased. In the future, tee stations will be
improved, rain shelters built and all bridges will be redone. Also, some
of the holes will be reworked, and a pond will be added. The clubhouse's
large fieldstone fireplace is in good shape and will be used as a
starting point for interior remodeling. They also plan to put in a nice
deck overlooking hole number 18 where anyone can enjoy lunch or a drink.
Besides the course, Whispering Creek, boasts a pro shop, snack bar, and
banquet hall.

Here it is 2010 already!
Whispering Creek Golf Club is preparing
for its 3rd season,
and just because there is snow on the ground now doesn’t mean
you can’t be thinking about golf.
This offseason Whispering Creek has
added two INDOOR SIMULATORS to let you continue swinging the
club and working on your game.
You can choose from a number of golf
courses and enjoy the golf experience indoors!
Our simulators feature High Definition
graphics, and are a great way to keep the club in your hand and
practice towards the upcoming season.
Nine holes on the simulator is $14, and
18 holes is $27.
Two people can play nine holes in an
hour, or 18 in two.
What a great thing to do during lunch or
on the weekends!
The lounge is also available.
Call to schedule your simulator time.
If you don’t want to play, you can
come in and just hit balls on the driving range.
Its also a great time to take some
lessons!
Patrick and myself can design a program
for you leading in to the outdoor season that will allow you to
hit the ground running!
Whether your just starting to play golf
or just want to knock the rust off your game, the simulators
indoors are a great place to prepare for the upcoming season.
I would also like to highlight what
is going on at the golf course.
If you haven’t tried us yet, come on
out.
The golf course literally got better
every day last year, and will continue to do so this year.
We have completed extensive dike work to
keep the water off of the course.
The greens are coming around and should
be great when the weather breaks.
But even beyond the tremendous
improvements on the course, you owe it to yourself to try the
Whispering Creek experience.
Our membership is growing annually.
We offer a full schedule of membership
events throughout the summer, and a number of weekly games.
